These are our test shots for the poster and magazine. We had half the face normal and half the half with make up on it. This shows the both sides of the movie which gives the audiences an insight of what the main character will look like. It was also to show the characters role in the movie, that she has two sides to her. The shirt that I'm wearing is the same shirt that is used in the trailer this is to link the trailer, magazine and poster together.
The reason why we picked this shirt is because it can show the contrast of innocents and evil. The red can represent the evil in the character (Ms.Chapel) but is mainly covered by white, it shows that she wants people to see her fake innocents but her evil shows through.
We tried varies shoots like mid-shots, long-shots, High angled shots this was to see which worked well and which didn't. I tried different poses so that all shots wasn't the same and we felt that my head tilted gave off a more psycho look to my face which is why we picked this photo. We had my hair tied up and down to see which one looked the best, in the end we felt that my hair up looked better because I look scarier and more weird. We tried filters over the lights to change the lighting of the shot, we felt that the pink didn't give off a good effect for our poster so we tried the blue plastic which gave off an icey/cold look which we felt worked best.
